Privacy

We never collect

• Your files, device identifiers, or any access to your disks. The site has no technical ability to do this.
• Your answers to the guided help tool. They exist only in the page while you use it.
• Advertising profiles. Advertising is switched off.

What is collected, and when

Analytics: a single self-hosted Matomo instance, running entirely on our own server. It sets no cookies, respects your browser’s Do-Not-Track setting, and truncates IP addresses, which is why there is no consent banner to click through. It counts page views and coarse events; never your tool answers, filenames, or the text you type.

Correction reports: if you report a problem, we store the report, the optional email you give us (deleted 90 days after resolution), and the page it concerns. Please do not include files, passwords or confidential data.

Security and rate limiting: short-lived technical logs protect the site from abuse. Rate-limit keys expire within 24 hours and are stored as salted hashes, not raw IP addresses.

Outbound links

When you follow a link to a vendor, their site handles your data under their own policy. Our outbound links are ordinary links with no added identifier.

The site operator is the data controller for the processing above. At public launch this section will name the controller and their contact details; you can also reach us via the contact page for privacy questions.
